Sylhet Sixers skipper and popular Bangladeshi cricketer Nasir Hossain on Sunday was warned by Bangladesh Cricket Board for violating the level 1 of BCB Code of Conduct.
Hossain arrived 6 minutes late for the toss in BPL opening match which was played against Dhaka Dynamites.
Sylhet Sixers’ manager Hasibul Hossain too was warned for breaching the code for delaying in delivering the sheet to his team.
Bangladesh Cricket Board took the steps at the end of second match of BPL on 4th November. The cricket governing body warned Nasir as well as Hasibul for their actions.
In the press release, BCB said, “Nasir and Hasibul were charged by on-field umpires Masudur Rahman Mukul and Riaz Uddin, third umpire Tanvir Ahmed and fourth umpire Aktaruzzaman for delaying the toss by six (06) minutes and for the failure to submit the team sheet properly.”
There won’t be any formal hearing over this issue as both of them have accepted their offences. Nasir and Hasibul have also admitted the sanction proposed by Match Referee Debabrata Paul.
Sylhet Sixers and Dhaka Dynamites confronted in the opening match of Bangladesh Premier League 2017 which started on 4th November. The ongoing BPL tournament is about to end of 12th December this year.
